She earned her advanced degree from the University of Nevada, Reno, and provides comprehensive psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and adults. Her clinical specialties include child and adolescent psychiatry, substance use disorders, and general mental health care across the lifespan.
Teal’s path into healthcare began with a strong foundation in psychology and education, earning her first bachelor’s degree from Prescott College. Early in her career, she served as an Equine and Art Program Director at a residential treatment facility for adjudicated youth in New Mexico. At Lupine Health & Wellness, Teal is known for her personalized approach to treatment, combining thoughtful medication management with therapeutic support tailored to each individual’s needs. She takes time to understand her patients’ experiences, helping them feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their care.
Teal is especially passionate about serving the Tahoe and Tahoe Basin communities, where she is committed to improving access to compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. She believes that with the right support, every individual has the ability to achieve greater balance, resilience, and emotional well-being.
